I love this video because of it’s simplicity. Sure, the production of this video is extremely complex but for viewers it offers a chance to relax and melt into the video. Static shots, no quick cuts, simple yet captivating action… this is what art is all about. Let the visuals ease the mind and have viewers get lost in a trance. This is the shit.

Athletes looking to deviate from the contest limelight must make their mark in other way. Typically for these riders, the focus is on content creation. You gotta get the people hyped.
Friday rolls around and I was looking for a place to shoot during the weekend. I gave Dillon a call to see if he would be down to get after it on the Island, he said he was so I packed up my gear and made tracks towards the ferry. No time to waste, the boat docks in Nanaimo at 8:30 PM and Dillon is already parked in the passenger pick up area. I hop in the 04 Tacoma, and we’re off into the night searching for some urban type, street steez shots.
We roll into the down town core to begin our hunt. Crisp winds were blowing through and snow was banked up everywhere. The temperature was probably sitting around -2 degrees (Celsius) but it felt like -20. I knew of a parkade that had some potential so we decided to start our night there. We rolled up, snagged some shots and moved on.
